Key Benefits of a Custom Ultrasonic Cleaner

Standard equipment works well until your parts, contamination, or production volume falls outside standard specifications. That’s where a custom ultrasonic cleaner earns its cost – solving cleaning challenges that off-the-shelf tanks simply weren’t built to handle.

  • Engineered for your exact parts: Tank dimensions, fixturing, and load handling built around your specific part geometry, not a generic catalog size.
  • Matched to your contamination profile: Frequency, chemistry, and cycle parameters configured for the specific soils you’re removing, not a one-size-fits-all default.
  • Scaled to your production volume: From single oversized parts to high-throughput automated lines processing thousands of components per shift.
  • No compromise on cleanliness requirements: Zero-residue, near-zero-residue, or industrial-grade cleanliness, built to the standard your application actually requires.
  • Future-proofed for growth: Systems designed with your production trajectory in mind, not just your current volume.

Industries We Serve

Zenith’s custom ultrasonic cleaning systems are engineered for manufacturers whose parts, contamination, or production requirements don’t fit standard equipment:

  • Aerospace: Structural components, turbine parts, and precision hardware requiring validated, documented cleanliness. See Aerospace Industry.
  • Automotive: Ultra-high-volume production lines, fuel system components, and precision machined parts.
  • Medical & Pharmaceutical: Implant cleaning systems and pharmaceutical/food-grade equipment requiring specialized construction. See Medical Industry.
  • Electronics & Optics: Cleanroom-grade cleaning systems and optics cleaning with slow-pull drying capability.

Applications

Zenith’s custom ultrasonic tank and system builds have addressed application requirements few standard manufacturers accommodate:

  • Long/narrow multi-stage cleaning systems for CVD coating operations.
  • Optics cleaning systems with slow-pull drying.
  • Automated fluorescent and visible penetrant inspection lines.
  • Cleanroom-grade processing areas within automated cleaning lines.
  • Custom air-knife blow-off and drying systems.
  • Wastewater treatment, disposal, and water purification machinery.
  • Pharmaceutical and food-grade cleaning systems.

What types of equipment can Zenith manufacture?

We can typically manufacture anything that can fit through our shipping dock, and have manufactured systems that include the following features:

  • Tanks up to 3500 gallons in size.
  • Automated systems that can handle loads over 2000 pounds.
  • Specialized pharmaceutical and food-grade cleaning systems.
  • Long/narrow multi-stage cleaning systems for CVD coating operations.
  • Large custom weapons and firearms cleaning lines.
  • Optics cleaning systems with “slow-pull”dryers.
  • Wastewater treatment and disposal systems.
  • Water purification machinery.
  • Ultra-high-volume automotive parts cleaning systems.
  • Medical implant cleaning systems.
  • Automated fluorescent and visible penetrant inspection lines.
  • Clean-room grade cleaning systems.
  • Cleanroom-grade processing areas in automated cleaning lines.
  • Custom air-knife blow-off systems.

Why Choose Zenith Ultrasonics for Custom Ultrasonic Cleaners

  • Made in the USA: Every custom ultrasonic cleaner is designed and manufactured domestically, with full engineering accountability from concept to commissioning.
  • Engineering-led process: Zenith doesn’t modify a catalog product and call it custom – systems are engineered around your parts, contamination, and production requirements from the ground up.
  • Patented core technologies: Custom systems can incorporate CROSSFIRE® Multi-Frequency Technology (US Patent 5,865,199 and 6,019,852) and the Patented ADVANTAGE® Automation System (US Patent 10,112,221).
  • VeriClean testing: Submit your actual parts for test cleaning before committing to a system, validating performance against your real contamination profile.
  • Comprehensive warranty: Backed by Zenith’s 2-year/10-year warranty coverage.
  • Decades of custom fabrication experience: From 3,500-gallon tanks to cleanroom-grade automated lines, Zenith has engineered custom solutions since 1935 for applications few manufacturers are equipped to handle.

What do I need to get started?

If your company has a User Requirement Specification, send it to Zenith for evaluation via a-mail at sales@zenith-ultrasonics.com. We will take a look at the specifications to determine if the project is something that Zenith can address. If such a document does not exist, we would need to know some specific details about your application which should be discussed directly by telephone. Information such as the following would normally be required:

  • General description of the application
  • Size of the largest and smallest parts being manufactured
  • Quality level required (zero-residue, near-zero-residue, or industrial-grade)
  • Material of construction of parts being cleaned
  • Number of parts required to be cleaned per 8-hour shift
