The VORTEX Centrifugal Ultrasonic Cleaning System is a 4-tank multi-stage automatic small parts washer that includes centrifugal rotation in every process stage, and is designed for the cleaning of small to mid-size parts at unbelievable rate of speed. This system is perfect for processing metal stampings, fasteners, bearing components, solenoid valves, linear motion components, or other similar parts.
Each processing tank includes a rotating basket assembly that will rotate parts at slower speeds while submerged, and rotates at higher speeds when removed from the liquids and in the drying tank. This action provides the following advantages:
- Improves cleaning performance: Parts are ultrasonically cleaned and intermittently rotated in both clockwise and counter-clockwise directions.
- Reduces detergent drag-out into the rinse tanks: Greatly reduces the water consumption of the system since rinse water lasts much longer.
- Provides near zero residue performance with tap water rinsing: Since water is rapidly removed from the parts before it dries on its surface, parts can typically be rinsed in tap water.
- Less damage when compared to slow tumbling: Parts shuffle to the edge and walls of the basket only once and are then held in place by centrifugal force rather than repeatedly tumbling onto one-another thereby reducing damage and scratching of part surfaces.
- Fastest possible drying speed: Since parts are continuously rotated at high speed in the drying tank, drying cycle times are greatly reduced and output of the system is greatly increased. Typical basket ejection rate is 5-6 minutes per basket depending upon part design.
