The Ultramatic ultrasonically cleans, ultrasonically rinse, and dries parts in a single tank.
The Ultramatic one-tank cleaning systems are fully-automated clean/rinse/dry systems that perform all functions in a single tank that were originally patented by Zenith in 1983 (US patent 4,409,999). Parts are not moved from tank-to-tank as they are with our multi-stage cleaners that are equipped with one of our automation platforms. Rather than moving parts through a number of different tanks, the Ultramatic moves fluids in and out of a single ultrasonically-activated tank to perform cleaning and rinsing and then flows heated air through the tank to perform the drying operation. This is a great option for low volume or heavy-part cleaning applications. In addition, ultrasonic rinsing is included without additional cost since both cleaning and rinsing are performed in the same tank.
The Ultramatic includes exclusive design features that prevent cleaning fluid from mixing with rinsing fluids, the largest hurdle to overcome with one-tank system designs. They can be used for medical and pharmaceutical applications without difficulty.
The Ultramatic is available in 2 different varieties; the standard version shown on this page that re-uses the cleaning and rinsing fluids, and the NHT version that does not reuse liquids. Although the NHT version is significantly less costly, water consumption increases greatly. Generally, the Ultramatic is less costly that an automated multi-stage cleaning system since no automation components are required.
