NOVA Semi-automated Ultrasonic Cleaners
For customers who don’t need a fully-automated multi-stage ultrasonic cleaner and have operators who can intermittently be used to aid in the transfer of baskets, the NOVA semi-automated ultrasonic cleaner option might be an option to look at. This system uses the same patented overhead basket handling system that is used in our Advantage Automation System, but does not include the transfer assembly. When a transfer of baskets is required, operators simply push or pull the basket from tank-to-tank along a guided and supported path easily and quickly. Here is how the system works:
- Operators load parts on the load conveyor and push it onto the agitation platform of the first processing tank.
- The start button is pressed for this tank. The basket is automatically lowered, ultrasonics are activated, and the basket is agitated according to the recipe selected.
- When processing in tank 1 is complete, the basket is lifted automatically and the light tower alerts operators that transfer to the next tank is needed.
- Operators transfer the basket from the platform in tank 1 to the platform in tank 2, and the start button is pressed. Parts are now automatically processed in tank 2.
- The above steps are repeated for each tank in the system until the basket is finally pushed onto the unload conveyor and parts are removed.
- Semi-automated ultrasonic cleaners are less costly that fully-automated options.

The designation for a NOVA Semi-automation System is added to the part number for the multi-stage ultrasonic washer. To determine a part number, first select the model number for the multi-stage ultrasonic washer you wish, then add “-NOVA”.
For example, MTC5-2000-CCRRD-NOVA is the part number for a 5 tank system with basket size of 12″ x 20″ x 14″ tall, and a format of 2 cleaning tanks, 2 rinsing tanks, and a single drying tank equipped with a NOVA semi-automation system.
