Cleanroom washers are systems that are designed to be used in rooms with controlled environments where the air is continuously filtered to remove particles and the environment maintained to a specific purity. What special parts and considerations are included in a Zenith cleanroom washer?
Zenith cleanroom washers and those designed to clean medical or pharmaceutical product will typically include the following:
- Sanitary Filtration System Parts: Sanitary filter housings, pumps, and plumbing which is polished to acceptable levels must be used.
- Elimination of “dead legs”: The plumbing must be designed to minimize or completely eliminate liquid that can remain trapped inside of plumbing when it is drained.
- Clean In Place and Steam In Place Design: The processing tank, plumbing, and connected components may include the ability to be cleaned without disassembly using disinfectants or steam.
- Slope-bottom processing tanks: Drain completely when required leaviing little-to-no liquid in the tank.
- Radius tank corners and electropolished finish
- All welds are ground smooth to the required Ra value.
- Sanitary electrical control enclosures
- Component monitoring systems that alert operators when process integrity has failed as a result of a component failure
- Component mounting locations which promote easy component removal for cleaning which allowing process validation and calibration
