Zenith Specializes in Custom Manufacturing to Specifically Address Cleaning Process Requirements

Ultrasonic Cleaners, largeAlthough Zenith manufactures an enormous variety of standard systems, over 95% of our customers customize their system in one way or another.  Since each application is unique in many respects, the cleaning system provided must also be unique in certain respects to guarantee success.   In some cases, part sizes are not well suited to the tank sizes which are part of our standard ultrasonic cleaners.  In other cases, the design of the part itself requires processing or handling which can not be addressed with standard ultrasonic equipment.

For example, a few years ago, the United States Air Force approached Zenith to develop cleaning equipment to address complex bearings used in the F-16 fighter aircraft.  The representatives from the Air Force mentioned that no other manufacturer was capable of addressing their cleaning requirements.  Bearings were very large, which tended to shadow the ultrasonic energy, and the thick grease contamination was not well suited to typical degreasing equipment.  In addition, there were several styles of bearings which required cleaning.  This complicated the fixturing and processing issues even further.

This, however, did not stop our engineers.  Within 2 days, an ultrasonic cleaning system was developed that could remove all contamination from the bearings within 20-30 minutes.  A fully automated parts washer was purchased from Zenith as a result.

In another example, the most reputable manufacturer of hard disk drive systems contacted Zenith to develop a cleaning system that could outperform currently available single-frequency ultrasonic cleaners.  After several months of side-by-side testing, Zenith Ultrasonics was selected as the equipment vendor of choice, and supplied over 180 custom-manufactured, clean room compatible disk drive cleaning systems to the United States, Singapore, and several other manufacturing facilities abroad.  Systems included complex optional equipment such as electro-polished cove corner tanks, mirror-polished stainless steel exterior panels, redundant safeties, saw-tooth overflow weirs, and other similar options

Not only will customization allow us to produce a cleaning system for ANY application, customization may actually save your firm considerably.  For example, in many cases, a smaller-than-standard system can be utilized to address part designs which may not be suited to standard sized-tanks.  Reducing only 12 ultrasonic transducers in a cleaning tank by downsizing the tank itself will save over $2,000.00 in cost.  You will be surprised how affordable custom manufacturing can be.

Virtually any type of custom ultrasonic degreaser, or non-ultrasonic parts washer, can be manufactured by Zenith.  We have the capabilities to manufacture the equipment you need to get the job done, whatever that might require.

Key Benefits

bulletCustom equipment can address applications which can not be addressed with standard ultrasonic cleaners.
bulletSave thousands of dollars by customizing the tank to the parts being cleaned.
bulletAdd any conceivable option to the degreaser to customize it to meet even the most stringent pharmaceutical or semiconductor applications.
bulletSince tanks are made specifically for the application, there is no wasted fluid, no wasted ultrasonic power, and no wasted heat energy as a result of having a tank which is too large.  You are not forced to accept a standard system.
